Whipped ricotta crostini elevated with sliced red Anjou USA Pears, prosciutto, and toasted pine nuts. This easy, seasonal appetizer uses minimal ingredients and delivers maximum flavor—ideal for effortless summer entertaining.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Red Anjou USA Pear, sliced thin
  • 1 cup full-fat creamy ricotta cheese
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 crusty baguette, sliced into 1-inch thick crostini
  • 3.5 ounces of thinly sliced prosciutto
  • fresh basil, to garnish
  • toasted pine nuts, to garnish
  • red pepper flakes, to garnish
  • flaked salt, to garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a food processor, add the ricotta, honey & salt. with the motor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil. continue mixing until light & fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Transfer mixture to a piping bag & refrigerate until ready to assemble. just before serving the ricotta onto the crostini. Top with pear slices & prosciutto. Garnish with basil, pine nuts, chili flakes & flaked salt. serve immediately!
