Grilled pizza with Red Anjou USA Pears, prosciutto, ricotta, and a drizzle of honey — the perfect sweet-salty combo for a summer BBQ.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 red Anjou USA Pear, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 6-8 thin slices of prosciutto
  • 1 tablespoon Everything bagel seasoning
  • 2 tablespoon Honey

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat a pizza stone on the barbecue over high heat (450-500°F).
  2. Roll or spread pizza dough onto parchment paper until it is about ¼-inch thick.
  3. Brush the pizza dough with olive oil.
  4. Combine the ricotta, parmesan and minced garlic and spread evenly over the dough.
  5. Top with the prosciutto and then the pears.
  6. Place the pizza on the heated pizza stone and close the barbecue. Cook for 4-5 minutes. Remove the parchment paper. Continue to cook the pizza for 2-3 more minutes until the crust is lightly brown and golden.
  7. Remove from heat. Drizzle honey. Cool slightly before slicing and serve right away.
